Installing on Amazon Web Services

See below for installing an agent virtual machine on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud.

ℹ Refer to https://docs.aws.amazon.com for advanced configurations not covered in this guide, like selecting the machine DNS.

To install an agent virtual machine on Amazon Web Services:

1. Log in to https://console.aws.amazon.com as a user with permission to:
   • Create and manage S3 buckets, roles, policies, snapshots, images, and EC2 instances.
   • Run AWS CLI commands using a locally installed AWS CLI or the AWS ShellCloud.
2. Perform the steps explained below.
   • Creating an S3 bucket
   • Configuring an IAM policy
   • Creating an IAM role
   • Uploading the OVA file
   • Creating an AMI import configuration file
   • Preparing the command-line interface
   • Importing the AMI
   • Creating an EC2 instance
   • Opening a session on AWS
