Compatibility

Configure the following value in the Compatibility tab of the Properties of New Template dialog.

Compatibility Settings

Select the minimum Windows versions compatible with the following components.

Certificate Authority
Certificate recipient

The selected values impact the schema version of the certificate template. See Cryptography for the Provider Category each template version supports.

⚠ After creating the template, you can modify these settings, not the template version.
